Your financial support of the PTA through membership and Write-a-Check enables the PTA to provide funds for field trips, school assemblies and programs held throughout the year, Time for Kids, library books, campus improvements (such as the tiger mural, video and audio equipment, and art displays) and numerous grade-level needs. We cover expenses for various PE equipment, hospitality and community events for the staff, parents and students' events (e.g., Concert in the Park, Family Campout, Family Movie Night, Skate Party, Fun and Field Day). We also provide the TigerBeat newsletter, the student directory, Wells PTA website and the yearbook.
Do I have to volunteer if I join the PTA? No, you are not required to volunteer if you join the PTA. We need your membership for the reasons listed above. If you want to volunteer, we'd love to have you!
Do I have to attend the PTA meetings? No, you do not need to attend the PTA meetings if you join the PTA. Of course, you are always welcome to attend and we encourage you to attend the regular PTA meetings held in August, October, February, March and April.
How do I join the PTA? It is easy to join! Single memberships are $8.00 and Family Memberships are $16.00. One of the benefits of joining the PTA is receiving a student directory with each membership. How do I contribute to Write-a-Check? Simply send in your donation, in an envelope, to your child's teacher or the school office. Checks should be made payable to Wells PTA. 100% of your contribution stays at Wells and benefits your child. I am new to Wells and would like to volunteer but don't know how? If you are new to Wells, you will find this a wonderful school, filled with caring, nurturing and gifted teachers, and committed and involved parents. It is easy to get involved and there are many opportunities for you to become involved. From volunteering in your child's classroom or grade level to chairing an upcoming community event - whether you want to volunteer a little or a lot, your time is greatly needed and appreciated. In short, the Wells PTA is a very active group and does many things that benefit all our children. Help us continue to provide the level of support to the Wells community that they have come to know.
