Plano’s 2008 “Great American Cleanup”

Congratulations to Cameron Beaton, 4th grader at Wells, who was selected winner of the Plano’s 2008 “Great American Cleanup” t-shirt contest. The t-shirt depicted Cameron’s winning artwork from the contest held last fall throughout the PISD Elementary Schools. The shirt was worn by over 2000 volunteers at the Great American Cleanup on April 5th. Cameron and his Cub Scout Pack 1256 was also out cleaning up the Wells property and Buckhorn Park on April 5th to help celebrate Plano’s 23rd annual city-wide cleanup!

National PTA Reflections – Achievement in the Arts

Kyla Radke, 1st grader at Wells Elementary, received an Award of Excellence at the State level for her music entry, "How I Can Make a Difference......" in the 2007-08 National PTA Reflections Program. Congratulations to Kyla!! Great Job!

The 2008-09 theme for the National PTA Reflections Program is "WOW". This theme allows the students to be really creative! Encourage your kids to start early and be an artist this summer.
